After my first wife and my mother and father died I had an insatiable appetite to learn more about Heaven. I saw Randy Alcorn’s book on Heaven in a bookstore and I purchased it. It was the most informative and fascinating book I had ever read about our eternal home. I contacted Randy’s office and he graciously agreed to do an interview on In Your Corner to share his biblical insight on Heaven. The Tragic Demise of Big John Tate

John Tate was an American professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1988, and held the WBA heavyweight title from 1979 to 1980. As an amateur he won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 1976 Summer Olympics. As a professional Tate earned two million dollars in the ring, sadly he ended up penniless and living on the street during the last years of his life.

Kerry Pharr hired Tate as a boxing trainer shortly before his death. In this podcast Kerry shares his experience with the champ in the weeks prior to his death.

Youhanna Barwari | Islam to Christianity


Youhanni Barwari, was born into a Kurdish Muslim family in Baghdad, Irag. After migrating to the United States someone introduced Youhanni to the message of the good news of Jesus Christ. As he began to read the Old Testament of the Bible he realized that the Bible had much to say about his people, and the land of his birth. The cities mentioned in the Bible were places he was familiar with. He gave his life to Jesus and now shares the gospel with everyone he meets. Her family migrated to the United States when she was a young lady. While living in the USA Nadia learned that Jesus died to save her from her sin. Hall of fame country singer Jimmy Fortune


Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for 21 years. Fortune quickly lived up to his name. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” on their 1983 album Today, and followed that with two more No. 1 hits?”My Only Love” (from 1984’s Atlanta Blue) and “Too Much On My Heart” (from 1985’s Pardners in Rhyme). After the Statler Brothers retired on October 26, 2002, Jimmy seized the opportunity to launch a solo career to share new music with his fans.
