About In Your Corner
Kerry Pharr is an author, speaker, former professional boxing trainer, and the host of In Your Corner. In Your Corner Ministries is comprised of a weekly television program called In Your Corner with Kerry Pharr and our boots on the ground ministry support team doing missionary work and planting churches in other countries.
The mission of In Your Corner Ministries is to obey and fulfill the “Great Commission” of Jesus Christ when he ordered His disciples before he ascended into Heaven to”Go into all the world and preach the gospel.” (Mark 16:15) We attempt to do his will by producing a weekly television program that is broadcasting the good news about the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior internationally into 200 countries around the world on the Daystar and NRBTV networks.
In addition to producing a weekly television program we are currently working in the dirt poor, destitute villages of the Dominican Republic where we are supporting a medical missionary, Dr. Dan Hale, missionaries Antonia Valdez of Send Light ministries, and Deke, and Samantha Alexander missionaries of Impact Life.
Kerry is spending several weeks per year in other countries helping to plant churches, preaching the gospel, and ministering to those that Jesus referred to as the least of these. Most of our missionary work is in the impoverished sugar cane plantation villages of the Dominican Republic. The average wage for those who can find work there is about one dollar per hour.
There are hundreds of villages without one church, medical clinic, or clean drinking water. We’re working to feed the hungry, share the gospel message, build physical multi-purpose church buildings that can host a medical clinic, and dig a well on-site with a reverse osmosis water filtration system that can provide clean water for an entire community one village at a time.
Some of our fantastic quests have included motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, Hall of Fame Nascar driver Darrell Waltrip, former world champion boxers James Bonecrusher Smith, Troy Dorsey and Gene Hatcher, NFL players Raymond Berry, Chris Sanders, Greg Gaines, Brett Kern and Freddie Scott, Hall of Fame country music star Jimmy Fortune, Dr. Martin Luther King’s niece Dr. Alveda King, and a host of many more.
In Your Corner was established in 2008 to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world through the real stories of real men and women who have overcome real adversity.
